There is no direct preparation for war - Alexander Lukashenko
The defense issues were discussed at the meeting with the President today. The military and political situation around Belarus remains complicated. The Belarusian armed forces have to respond to the militarization of the region and be on their guard, ready to defend their land if threatened.
The law enforcement agencies note the growth of provocations near the state border. It is important not to yield to unfriendly attacks. But we must always keep our powder dry. What has already been done to protect the state and where do we need to strengthen? This was the subject of the conversation between the President and military and top officials.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of Bularus:
“All security agencies have noted an increase in the number of provocations near the state border. Ukraine, under any pretext, is trying to draw the troops of NATO member states into the conflict. All this is confirmed by the recent missile drops on the territory of Poland. At the same time, calls to seize power by force and commit terrorist acts in the territory of Belarus are increasingly heard from the fugitive opposition, our bandits. Some of these fugitives are not just traitors, but extremists. I can't call them any other way. They already openly, without hesitation, call for strikes on the objects on the territory of our country. They even forgot that their relatives live on the territory of Belarus.”
History knows a lot of examples when a big fire can happen from a small spark. The incident with the missile in Poland could have become such a fire. But, thank God, they did not let it ignite. And Biden even heard a kind word for it from the President of Belarus
