OSCE and CSTO agree to bring cooperation to new level

This was announced today in Moscow at the meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization by the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. This is Thomas Greminger’s third visit to the CSTO Secretariat. According to him, modern threats can be countered only by joint efforts at the regional and global levels. The two organizations have a lot in common. The parties discussed countering new challenges, primarily in the fight against terrorism.

The parties also addressed the fight against drug trafficking and cybercrime. A joint conference of the CSTO and the OSCE is planned to be held in the fall in Moscow.
