Parliamentarians of Belarus and Russia hold joint session in Brest
Minsk is going to hold a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. Tomorrow, the Presidents of Belarus and Russia will take part in it. On the eve of the summit and bilateral talks between Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, parliamentarians of the two countries held a joint session in Brest. They discussed legislative issues so that both states could work in the closest possible legal field. First of all, this concerns employment and rendering medical assistance to Belarusian citizens in Russia. There were also questions of creating unified rights for the enterprises of the two countries, developing closer cooperation in the commercial and industrial sector of the economy.
The summit of the Union State will also be attended by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin and the head of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko.
