Belarusian ambassador to attend inauguration of Brazilian President

Ambassador of Belarus to Brazil Sergei Lukashevich will attend the inauguration ceremony of Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, as well as Vice-President of Brazil Gerardo José Rodrigues Alckmin Jr. on behalf of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA informs.

Lula da Silva held the presidency from 2003 to 2010. In March 2010, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko paid his first visit to Brazil. As a result of his meeting with Lula da Silva, a political declaration was adopted. Moreover, the talks in Rio de Janeiro resulted in the mutual opening of embassies in Minsk and Brasilia.
