Belarus' potential in geopolitical alliances
The formation of new geopolitical and macroeconomic alliances is a right step on the way to a multipolar world. Belarus has a huge potential for cooperation. Minsk is a member of the leading associations in the region, and our country has made a considerable contribution to the development of each of them. Including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which has become one of the most important centers of geopolitical interaction. It is expected that the forthcoming SCO summit will complete the procedure of admission of Iran as a full member of the organization and accept Belarus' application to join it as a full member.
In recent times, the world has watched as a minority tries to dictate its interests and rules to the global majority. Unprecedented sanctions pressure, completely illegitimate restrictions, and brazen violations of agreements are all elements of hybrid warfare. Under the burden of sanctions, its necessary to open the second, the third and other economic fronts. And there are places to open them.
Belarus does have strategically unique relations, but not only with China and Russia. Relations are developing not only with India and Pakistan. We are successfully implementing the Chinese initiative "One Belt and One Road" with Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the EAEU. Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are important trade and economic partners for us in the Commonwealth of Independent States. The already existing alliances can easily be strengthened. For Belarus, this is a whole group of strong associations.
