President of Belarus: We have situation under control

Countering cyber attacks is a task for state security agencies

I would like to point to the attempts of cyber attacks that have been made against us. They are akin to biological weapons and even more powerful. No tanks, no machine guns, no high-precision missiles are needed. It is enough to carry out massive cyber-attacks on economic facilities, the enterprises of any country. And it will be enough to turn the country upside down. Therefore, the KGB and other agencies must pay special attention to this direction of the fight.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus
Yesterday the talks between the delegations of Russia and Belarus ended as a follow-up to my meeting with President Putin. I will not go into detail, we will tell you when the time comes. Theleadership of Russia, as well as all Russians, have finally acquired a firm understanding that we have to be together, that Russia needs Belarus as much as we need huge Russia. We have been buying and getting energy resources and energy carriers from Russia, and we will be getting them at, I would say, at the same prices as in the Russian Federation - something we have always demanded from Russia.
