President: We are ready to multiply trade with Republic of Tyva
Belarus continues to work closely with Russia, not only at the federal level but also at the regional level. The delegation from Tyva headed by the leader of the Russian republic Vladislav Khovalyg has travelled 5,000 kilometers to strengthen ties with Belarus. By the way, such a representative delegation from Kyzyl has come for the first time. The rich program started with a meeting and a substantive conversation with the Belarusian leader. Alexander Lukashenko welcomed the Russian guests pointing out that this significant event is going to add another interesting page into the history of relations between our countries. The visit will open new horizons for cooperation, said the President of Belarus, as he met with the Head of the Republic of Tyva.
The situation of the pandemic was also touched upon at the meeting. Alexander Lukashenko once again emphasized that our countries have set the right course. And he spoke about his personal experience of confronting the virus.
Coming back to business contacts, Tyva has always been eager to buy Belarusian equipment, especially for agriculture. Since the Soviet times, the republic has developed trust in it for its reliability and efficiency.
New Horizons
This is only the first result, more specific agreements will be signed later. There is a construction boom in Tyva. Kyzyl expects to attract Belarusian builders to construct various facilities including the mining and processing plant. Timber processing is no less profitable. Tyva has 1 billion cubic meters of overripe timber. There are plans to build a wood processing factory.
The main thing is the potential for cooperation and the willingness to implement specific projects for the benefit of both countries, stressed the Chairman of the Grodno Region Executive Committee Vladimir Karanik, who has been assigned to develop relations with the Russian region.
The meeting with the President was immediately followed by a visit to the Prime Minister. Roman Golovchenko said the trade and economic interaction with Tyva has to be analyzed and enhanced.
The delegation will stay in our country for five days. The program is rich: Minsk City Technopark, MTZ, Orsha flax processing plant, Ustie dairy complex. The delegation from Tyva is going to study the Belarusian opportunities on the spot. Cooperation with Russian regions will help further deepen the integration of Belarus and Russia.
