Presidents of Belarus and UAE discuss development of cooperation and implementation of bilateral projects
The talks between President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan took place on December 8 at the personal residence of the UAE head, BELTA reports.
During the talks, Alexander Lukashenko and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the issues of the bilateral agenda.
Back in February, during the previous meeting, the heads of state agreed to deepen cooperation in a number of areas. Belarus and the United Arab Emirates have launched important projects, and today the leaders of the two countries synchronized their implementation.
The UAE is the main trade partner of Belarus among the Gulf Arab states. The trade turnover between the countries is systematically growing, showing impressive dynamics and results recently.
Last year, the United Arab Emirates ranked third in terms of the total amount of investments in the Belarusian economy. There is a high level of political dialog between the countries, which is also confirmed by the intensity of contacts at the highest and highest levels.
The current meeting of the heads of state was held at the personal residence of the President of the United Arab Emirates. The talks lasted about two hours. "Home, family format" - this is how it was defined by the inviting party.
Alexander Lukashenko thanked his Emirati colleague for the warm reception and attentive attitude to the Belarusian delegation.
