Putin: Western countries deliberately exacerbate tensions in European Region

The irresponsible policy of the West is pushing the world to the brink of global conflict. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in Minsk at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.

"Our particular concern is naturally caused by the state of affairs in the European region. In particular, in Ukraine. Western countries are deliberately exacerbating tensions. It is they who brought the current tragedy to today's tragedy and continue to exacerbate the situation. Such irresponsible policy pushes the world to the brink of a global conflict," said the Russian President.

"We know the position of Belarus, the position of the President of Belarus aimed at a peaceful resolution of this crisis. We are constantly discussing these issues. And today during the exchange of views, of course, this issue will also be given due attention," Vladimir Putin added.
