Yerevan hosts EAEU Intergovernmental Council
Yerevan hosts the Eurasian Economic Union's Intergovernmental Council today. The prime ministers of the five countries meet offline. The current issues of further integration are on the agenda including the food market, the extension of the zero rate of import customs duty for electric cars, the strategy of biological security and trade without barriers. The Eurasian Union coordinates positions on the most sensitive issues so that integration was beneficial to everyone.
Timely implementation of Union programs
A meeting of the Prime Ministers of Belarus and Russia was also held on the sidelines of the Intergovernmental Council. It was an opportunity once again to synchronize their watches on all the urgent issues of the bilateral agenda. Thus, after the approval of a package of Union State programs by the Presidents of our countries, a clear system of point approval of documents at the level of line ministries will be set up, as well as permanent monitoring of their implementation, said Roman Golovchenko. According to the Belarusian Prime Minister, it is now important to execute everything on time. And the governments of Belarus and Russia are already working on it.
Tomorrow the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union will continue discussing integration issues of the five countries in an extended format.
