CIS considers obtaining observer status with CSTO
The CIS is considering the issue of observer status with the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was stated by First Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Leonid Anfimov during the meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member States.
The concept of Kazakhstan's presidency in the integration association for 2022 and an Action Plan for its implementation were presented at the meeting.
They also discussed a list of issues for the next session of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers, which is scheduled for April, as well as the topics for the upcoming session of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government scheduled for May in Nur-Sultan.
