Alexander Lukashenko holds meeting on military security
An objective analysis of the military and political situation is performed at the meeting with the head of state in the Defense Ministry.
The first message is that there are no extraordinary circumstances. Belarus is not giving reasons to speculate in terms of military preparations, at the same time it reacts adequately to the aggravation of the situation near the borders. The West has deployed active support to the Kiev regime, thereby exacerbating the conflict. Both the U.S. and European countries continue to supply military equipment, which is often old and unnecessary. Military action on foreign territory is again a business project of the West, as we have repeatedly observed.
Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus:
We are aware of systematic U.S. deliveries of weapons and military equipment through the Polish airfield. About a dozen, sometimes more, American transport planes arrive there every day. A number of European countries are trying to show their involvement in helping the Ukrainian army and are sending old equipment and weapons that they don't need. They are carrying out so-called recycling. The purpose of these actions is clear and understandable. The US wants to weaken or remove Russia and its allies from the international arena altogether, to get closer to its main competitor, China, and at the same time toincrease the dependence of the European Union on the United States.
Today there is a grouping of 35 thousand NATO troops in Europe. 25,000 of this contingent are at the Belarusian borders. Lithuania, Latvia and Poland are concentrating their forces just in tens of kilometers. Our military sees it and takes it into account. As well as the Ukrainian grouping of 11 thousand. Fugitive radicals have become active in the media field. Under such conditions, we must be prepared for any scenario and objectively assess the threats.
