New details of Lukashenko's conversation with Putin announced
Presidents of Belarus and Russia Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation on the morning of December 2, BelTA informs.
The heads of state coordinated their position on the agenda of the forthcoming summit of the Eurasian Economic Union in Kyrgyzstan.
The Presidents also discussed the situation in the world and on the perimeter of Belarus and Russia, detailing the situation that is emerging and the coordination of joint action. The Presidents also discussed the progress of the special military operation in Ukraine.
The heads of state also addressed a range of economic issues, the most important in the bilateral interaction including joint efforts on import substitution and implementation of the allied programs.
The Presidents outlined the schedule for further contacts. Russian President invited his Belarusian counterpart to Moscow to negotiate on practical issues of the Union State construction and economic issues. The meeting is planned for December.
Cooperation in humanitarian area, in particular in science, was also emphasized. Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin have agreed to organize a congress of young scientists from Belarus and Russia that will be held on the basis of the Russian President's recent meeting with scientists in Sirius and the experience gained in Belarus (for example, the large-scale project "100 ideas for Belarus").
