Details of phone conversation between Alexander Lukashenko and Angela Merkel announced

We have just received information about the details of the telephone conversation between Alexander Lukashenko and Angela Merkel. The conversation between the President of Belarus and the acting Chancellor of Germany took place tonight and lasted about 50 minutes.

Several problems were discussed, especially the refugee situation on the Belarusian-Polish, Belarusian-Lithuanian and Belarusian-Latvian borders.

The ways and prospects of solving the migration problem in order to prevent escalation of the situation at the border were discussed in detail. One more very important aspect that the President of Belarus and the Acting German Chancellor discussed was humanitarian support to refugees through humanitarian aid.

Alexander Lukashenko and Angela Merkel agreed on further contacts to resolve the situation.
