Terrorist attack in Italy: Belarusian embassy building substantially damaged
The event at the Belarusian embassy in Italy on March 9 was qualified as a terrorist act. At 4 am, the unknown masked men set fire to unidentified objects, threw them in the territory of the Belarusian embassy and fled from the scene. Later it turned out that they used homemade devices filled with gunpowder.
The explosion of one of them occurred close to the gas pipe. One of the items did not detonate. The building was substantially damaged. According to the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, fortunately, the staff of our diplomatic mission were not injured. The Italian side declared its readiness to strengthen the protection of the diplomatic mission.
