Ukrainian spy drone heads to rear of Belarusian territory
Another Ukrainian spy drone was forcibly landed on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border. The drone, which was making video recordings and trying to remain undetected, was heading deep into Belarusian territory. Our border guards and the military worked in concert: the drone was carefully landed with the help of radio-electronic weapons. Now we have the contents of the drone's data card. As a rule, there is irrefutable evidence of where the flying device was launched from and by whom. Learn all the details of the forced landing in the report by Evgeny Gorin.
The unidentified object was flying at an altitude of 300 meters above the Belarusian checkpoint "Mokrany" from the side of Ukraine. It was 1.2 km off the border. The quadcopter, equipped with spy equipment for reconnaissance, was lowered from the sky to the ground with surgical precision and complete safe. Even the first glance does not leave any doubts as to where it flew from and by whom it was launched.
Yuri Demchenko, official representative of the State Border Committee of Belarus::
Analysis of the memory card data confirms the fact of reconnaissance of the border territory of the Republic of Belarus.
This is not the first drone flying into the territory of Belarus from Ukraine. A similar case took place on November 2, one km off the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the Gomel Region. The drone was also forcibly landed then. Its memory card contained all the evidence of the launch by the Ukrainian military. The drone is even equipped with an infrared vision system and was meant to be used for transporting and dropping explosive devices.
On November 16, 2022 another provocation took place in the Kobrin area 100 meters off the Ukrainian border. The border guard unit noticed an unmanned aerial vehicle on our territory. It was shot down with a sequence of automatic weapons. The same story: it was a spy drone for video recording. On the same May morning our electronic warfare units detected an AFU drone on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border that was equipped with ammunition from an AGS-17 automatic grenade launcher. If it had gone off, there could have been casualties
As we can see, since that time, violations of borders by foreign drones have become more frequent. And this gives rise to some alarming thoughts: what can be the consequences of such provocations?
