Joint board of foreign ministries of Russia and Belarus to be held in coming days

A meeting of the boards of the MFA of Russia and Belarus will be held in the coming days. This statement was made by Secretary of State of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev on December 6, Sputnik writes.

He notes that the two countries have such a unique institution as a joint board of foreign ministries. The meeting will be held to determine joint steps and plans for the future.

"It is planned to hold a joint board in the near future in order to analyze how the program of joint actions of the foreign ministries was implemented for the past period, and in order to determine the nearest plans for the future," Mezentsev specified.

The meeting of the two agencies and a visit to Minsk by Sergey Lavrov had been planned for late November, but the event was postponed due to the death of Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.
