V. Makei: EU refuses to consult on illegal migration
The European Union refuses to hold consultations on illegal migration, although Belarus has suggested doing so since April. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country Vladimir Makei to the journalists September 2, commenting on the migration crisis in the west. We are talking about the flow of citizens from the states, rushing to the EU, after the Western coalition has destroyed the economy of a number of countries in the Middle East and Africa under the pretext of imposing democracy. And now it not only refuses to take responsibility for the fate of these people, but also tries to blame the other side for the growing flow of refugees.
I believe that everything that is happening now on our western borders is a consequence of the policies of the western countries themselves. This crisis originated in the minds of Western politicians. Belarus has always complied with all the provisions of our agreements.
Foreign Ministry: Belarus sees no reason to send an ambassador to the United States
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also informed that there is a candidate for an ambassador to the United States. However, given the current imposition of sanctions and the offensive rhetoric of the United States against the citizens of Belarus, our country sees no point in sending him there.
