Lavrov's visit to Minsk postponed due to death of Makei

A working visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Minsk and a meeting of Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Russia, scheduled for November 27-28, were postponed in connection with the death of Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, TASS reported with reference to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Due to the untimely death of Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei, it's been decided to postpone a meeting of the board of the Foreign Ministries of Belarus and Russia and a working visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Minsk scheduled for November 27-28," said the diplomatic office.

The Foreign Ministry also added that "new dates of the visit and a meeting of the boards will be announced additionally.
