Vladimir Putin sends New Year greetings to Alexander Lukashenko

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is receiving New Year congratulations. Russian President Vladimir Putin was among the first to send warm words to the Belarusian head of state.

"Despite strong external pressure and restrictions caused by the pandemic coronavirus, Russia and Belarus have worked closely and effectively to address the large-scale challenges on the agenda of bilateral relations, were able to bring the union integration to a qualitatively new level," reads the congratulatory message of the Russian leader. Vladimir Putin is sure: the implementation of the provisions adopted after the meeting of the Supreme State Council will bring the legislation of the two countries closer and allow the creation of a common economic space.
