All CIS countries maintain positive development dynamics
The Total GDP, according to preliminary estimates, grew by 4.7 percent. The Commonwealth states managed to respond quickly to the negative trends in foreign trade and increased the volume of mutual trade within the organization. The current cooperation agenda was discussed today at a meeting of the Economic Council of the CIS. The meeting took place in Nur-Sultan. Belarus was represented by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko. They discussed the most topical issues first in a narrow, and then in an extended format. They were industrial cooperation, import substitution and, of course, food security. Here it is necessary to work out logistic schemes of deliveries and customs clearance issues. At the initiative of the Belarusian side a plan for a joint response to external challenges has been prepared. The document, according to Igor Petrishenko, was approved by the Economic Council.
The next meeting of the CIS Economic Council is scheduled for September 23 in Moscow. And a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Minsk on June 20-21.
