Exhibition of CIS countries opens in Nur-Sultan
Significant achievements, major projects, cultural events and electronic products of the CIS member states. All this can be seen by visitors to the National Museum in the capital of Kazakhstan, where the international exhibition ART EXPO of the CIS member states has opened. The event will last until September 10. It is reported by BelTA with reference to the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
"President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared 2022 the Year of Folk Creativity and Cultural Heritage of the CIS countries. The today's exhibition "Folk Art in ART-space" is part of the implementation of this idea. Cultural ties between our countries are actively developing and citizens of our states show genuine mutual interest in the spiritual heritage of each other. While opening the exhibition, we invite you to take a closer look at the creative works of artists, sculptors, masters of applied arts from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Belarus. I am sure the exhibition will win the hearts of visitors and leave a lasting impression," said Minister of Culture and Sports Dauren Abayev.
Master classes in textile art, pottery and jewelry will be held at the pavilion of Kazakhstan. In addition, a presentation of their achievements in the field of folk art will be held with the aim of establishing creative ties between the interested structures and cultural organizations of the CIS countries. Also, as part of the event, a series of bilateral meetings of the Council for Cultural Cooperation of the CIS countries, a museum road-show, as well as tours of the exhibition halls of the National Museum of Kazakhstan will be held.
ART EXPO is a complex event within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States, aimed at development of cooperation, dissemination of interethnic harmony, respect for cultures, languages and traditions of other nations, and promotion of patriotism among the younger generation.
