Alexander Lukashenko to hold talks with President of Russia on June 19
Head of State Alexander Lukashenko will hold talks on June 19 with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who will pay an official visit to Belarus.
During the meeting in a narrow format, the leaders of the two countries will discuss the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, the implementation of joint projects, interaction in integration formats and international venues. Then Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin will take part in the session of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. The agenda of the talks includes about a dozen issues. The supreme body of the Union State will consider the results of the Belarusian-Russian trade and economic cooperation over the past year, hear a report of the Council of Ministers on the execution of the budget of the Union State for 2016, discuss the program of coordinated actions in the field of foreign policy for the current and the following years. Participants of the session will also address the implementation of priority directions and tasks for the further development of the integration association. A number of documents are expected to be signed at the end of the meeting.
