Alexander Lukashenko holds scheduled meeting with national security leadership
At a scheduled meeting with the security leadership, the President set the tasks to prevent mercenaries from violating the state border, ensure power supply to the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and help refugees from Ukraine.
Against the backdrop of aggravated situation on the external contour, it is extremely important to keep a pulse on the situation and foresee its development one step ahead. The Belarusian army should develop taking into account the up-to-date experience of military operations, noted Alexander Lukashenko. The situation in the region shows that we cannot expect any improvement in the near or medium term.
Soldiers of Belarus ensure national security
Mercenaries, as the defense minister later explained to journalists, are dangerous because they are unpredictable. They work for money and can damage both civilian infrastructure and civilians themselves. Keeping track of everything that happens on the outer circuit is a task assigned to the entire security leadership. It is necessary to provide cover for the rear of our main ally, which is now performing special operations tasks. Strengthening of the eastern flank of NATO (it is estimated that more than 10 thousand people have arrived in the countries of the West) and the aviation grouping, as well as active reconnaissance - all this can't help worrying the Belarusian military, said Viktor Khrenin.
Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant left without power supply
The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and all the nuclear facilities in the exclusion zone were left without electricity. It is essential for the safe operation of the spent fuel storage facility, and the consequences may be unpredictable. Alexander Lukashenko ordered Belarusian specialists to join the work and ensure power supply to the plant. This is quite possible from the technical point of view. At the moment the organizing issues are being solved. The power supply should be ensured as soon as possible.
The President instructed to pay special attention to Ukrainian refugees - this is the area of responsibility of the governors of Brest and Gomel regions, while other regions of the country are also ready to receive and feed refugees, if necessary.
