Alexander Lukashenko holds meeting with Mongolian President Battulga Khaltmaa
Belarus is ready to create high-performance enterprises and production of Belarusian equipment in Mongolia. Alexander Lukashenko stated this at a meeting with the President of Mongolia – Battulga Khaltmaa. The conversation was held in Qingdao, China, where today the summit of the heads of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states starts its work.
The Mongolian side is greatly interested in Belarusian technologies of dairy production. Alexander Lukashenko noted that Belarus is not only ready to share its experience in this direction, but also to build a full-fledged cluster for the production and processing of milk in Mongolia. The President added that Mongolia is also well acquainted with the industrial opportunities of Belarus.
The talks focused not only on selling end products, but also on the opportunities to create joint ventures in Mongolia for the production of automotive and agricultural machinery. During the meeting, the President of Mongolia recalled that a few years ago he visited Belarus in the post of the Minister of Agriculture. Alexander Lukashenko invited him to visit the country again.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Mongolia were established in January 1992. Three years ago, the presidents of the countries met at the summits of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the BRICS in Ufa, Russia. The basis of mutual trade between the countries is the Belarusian export – mainly, quarry equipment, milk powder, as well as parts and accessories for cars and tractors. Last year, the turnover amounted to 13.5 million dollars.
