President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Mikhail Kavelashvili on his election as President of Georgia, the press service of the Belarusian leader reported.

"I am convinced that the resumption of fruitful and constructive cooperation between our countries will contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral relations between Belarus and Georgia. I wish you good health, successful implementation of your plans and new achievements for the benefit of your Fatherland," the congratulations read.
