EBRD emphasizes its interest in cooperation with Minsk

President Alexander Lukashenko has met with Vice-President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Alain Pilloux. The second year in a row, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is improving the forecast for GDP growth of our country. For 2018 the forecast is plus 2 percent. Alexander Lukashenko focused on the issues of EBRD participation in the privatization of domestic enterprises, stressing that, first of all, it should meet the interests of the people.

Among Western financial institutions, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is one of the main direct investors of our economy. Belarus joined the Organization in 1992. Over 25 years of partnership almost a hundred major projects have been implemented. The investment volume amounted to about 2 billion Euro.
