The economy of Belarus allows allocating more money to social support of the population. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko while receiving officials with a report on improving social support of the population, BelTA informs.
"We will talk at our meeting about the issues of social support of vulnerable categories of our citizens. The topic is important. We are a socially oriented state. It is clear that in such a situation, with such a policy, we must support pensioners, the disabled, and orphans. In general, the way we solve these issues is the basis for judging the government," the head of state said.
"Social programs, by the way, in our country are very extensive. Our economy presents an opportunity to channel more money into this sphere, which we are doing. But I have already said several times: it should not be too much. When making decisions, we must always understand the situation we are in. And we must understand what we can and cannot do today. The decisions taken should be implemented," emphasized the Belarusian leader.
