Lukashenko: EU's fashionable "Green Deal" is a project of unfair competition

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko called the EU's "Green Deal" a project of unfair competition. He said this in his speech in Astana at the CSTO summit, BELTA reported.
The head of state noted that the West is spending all its efforts on fighting false problems, while creating them itself. A striking example is the climate agenda, which "Western politicians have long since turned into a business."
The EU's fashionable "Green Deal" is nothing more than a project of unfair competition, working exclusively in the interests of Western countries, which are in the forefront of those responsible for air pollution. By the way, many are already talking about this.
The Green Deal, approved by the European Union in 2019, is an economic development strategy that aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and break the balance between economic growth and resource consumption. However, even within the EU itself, there is no agreement on these plans, which causes heated debates. "A panacea for some, a disaster for others, a complete unknown for others - the European Green Deal remains one of the main sources of pan-European debate at all levels," Euronews noted in its article in May.
