Lukashenko: Belarus takes mirror measures to protect the sovereignty of the state
Belarus takes mirror measures to protect the sovereignty of the state. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the ceremony of honoring the graduates of military educational institutions, BelTA informs.
The President acknowledged that the situation is difficult. The post-war world order, based on international law, which has not always worked, has collapsed. Geopolitical tensions between the member states of NATO, on one hand, and Russia, China and other countries, on the other hand, have gone into a hot phase. "Against this background, the neighboring countries are increasing their military budgets, buying offensive weapons for their armies, increasing the number of NATO troops on their territories, and conducting endless exercises near our borders. "The arsenal of means of intervention under false pretexts in the internal affairs of our country is expanding," said the Belarusian leader.
"Besides the economic pressure, political and informational pressure, we are now facing provocations on our borders, as well as attempts of terrorist activities inside the country, inspired from outside," said the President.
He stressed that Belarus adequately responds to all these attacks and continues to improve the system of national and first of all the military security of the country.
