Lukashenko at ceremony of awarding prize "For Spiritual Revival": Let's forget the road to churches and monuments - wait for the war
Peace is the most important value, and Belarus knows its price. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at the ceremony of awarding the prize "For Spiritual Revival," a special award for art and culture figures and the prize "Belarusian Sport Olympus," BelTA informs.
"As before on these bright holiday days, we meet to thank people who selflessly serve their people and country. We summarize the cultural and spiritual life of the past year. It brought to this stage unusually talented, sensitive, sincerely devoted Belarusians. Thanks to them we have achieved the goals of the Year of Peace and Creation. Thus, we have become spiritually stronger and even more confident. Especially against the background of events that are happening around us," said the head of state.
"It is obvious for us: peace is the most important value. For any people, especially the Belarusian people. Because we know its price," said the Belarusian leader.
He noted that the projects "The Last Witnesses" and "Genocide without the Right to Life" are a tribute to the innocent victims and heroes of the Great Patriotic War: "Today we thank the author's team of our prosecutor's office, the Belarusian Telegraph Agency, the National State Television and Radio Company, who have let through themselves all the pain and suffering of the people of the war."
