Lukashenko answers important questions about Wagner PMC
Whatever the current risks and threats are, Belarusians have been lucky enough to build their future solely in intellectual and labor battles. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to this during a meeting in honor of Independence Day, BelTA informs.
"Now the problem of PMC "Wagner," a private paramilitary company, is hyped up. Calm down. They are the most trained people. They say, "They're convicts." Look, all the servicemen who were there, convicts, they are already dead. And one more nuance, which they in the West do not want to explain: convicts were released from places of detention in Russia only for the Russian front. Not a single person goes abroad," pointed out Alexander Lukashenko.
"So who are they, these Wagnerians? I've known them for a long time. Since, remember, how we detained 33 fighters in 2020 here, near Minsk. We let them go. And they've been grateful to us ever since. They always light a candle for Batska in church. They are not afraid of us. They are people who have been in the army, who have fought in wars. These are the people who have fought all over the world for a normal civilization. The West hates them.
