Lukashenko presents icon of Blessed Virgin Mary "Hodegetria" to Kopys church

The Belarusians will be happy only in one case, if we have to save our land! This was stated by Alexander Lukashenko during his visit to the Church of Transfiguration in the village of Kopys. By tradition, the President visits small churches on the light and good holiday of Easter. Solemn divine service, communication with believers, congratulations and Easter candle - this time it is especially personal, because it is his small motherland.

The icon of the Holy Virgin "Hodegetria" presented by Alexander Lukashenko helps to find peace in the family affairs and protects from misfortunes. Archbishop Dimitry of Vitebsk and Orsha made a present to the President as well: the symbolic Easter eggs. The Church of the Transfiguration in the village of Kopys opened in the fall of 2018.
