Lukashenko warns: Responsibility for the harvesting campaign will be very serious
The yield of agricultural crops in the country is expected to be higher than last year, but a number of problematic issues need to be addressed in order to harvest everything quickly and without losses. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to this during a conference call on July 19, BelTA informs.
The head of state noted that now the crucial stage of the summer harvest has come. "This year the situation should be much better than in previous years. Especially in harvesting and grass fodder preparation. We have never supported agriculture more. And the equipment has been transferred, and material issues have been solved. I warn everyone: the responsibility will be very serious. We have an unprecedented harvest in the field today," said Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, the yield is expected to be much higher than last year.
"However, this is in theory. Bread is still mostly in the fields, it should be harvested quickly and without losses. Then we will cover all grain needs for the year ahead, and provide the fodder base, and save on imports. As usual, we have pitfalls," the President noted.
