Lukashenko tells about role of media in upcoming election campaign

The mass media will play one of the leading roles during the upcoming election campaign in Belarus, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said while hearing a report on topical issues of information policy, BELTA reports.

“I would like to discuss with you a number of topical issues concerning the mass media. We are about to enter the election campaign. Naturally, the mass media, fortunately, thank God, will play almost one of the leading roles in this situation. I say fortunately, not other problems, wars and so on. It is better to fight on this field for now and fight, although it is not quite easy,” the head of state said.
