In Belarus, the defense ofhomeland has been and will be in the hands of brave, strong spirit and courageous people. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said at the ceremony honoring the graduates of military schools, BelTA informs.

"Traditionally, we honor graduates of higher educational institutions, including military ones, at the end of the events, dedicated to the main public holiday - Independence Day. This ceremony is a tribute to the generation of victors. Tribute to the heroes who liberated Minsk on July 3, clearing their homeland from the Nazi invaders," said the head of state.

"In our country the defense of our country has been and will be in the hands of brave, strong spirit and courageous people. People like you - real men, putting on the officer's uniform in such a difficult and sometimes unpredictable time," said the Belarusian leader.
