Minsk and Moscow sum up the results of Union State Supreme State Council

Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin discussed all the issues including economy. Over the past year, trade turnover has increased by a quarter. It is necessary to eliminate mutual barriers and create competitive environment. This opinion was expressed by Alexander Lukashenko. Today Belarus and Russia are connected literally in all spheres, fr om the agro-industrial complex and industry to space and the construction of our nuclear power plant.

Of the nine agenda items, five were adopted without discussion. Only three key documents were considered in detail. One of them is the priority directions of development of the Union State for the next 5 years. The participants also approved the Union State prize in the field of science and technology, which will be an incentive for scientists of the two countries.

The joint forums of the regions of the two countries are held as well. The next one will be held in October in Mogilev, wh ere the next meeting of the Presidents will take place. The Supreme State Council once again confirmed that the controversial issues that sometimes arise will be resolved in a spirit of mutual understanding and compromise.
