Lukashenko congratulates President of Cuba on Day of National Uprising

On behalf of the Belarusian people and on his own behalf, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of Cuba Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez on the Day of National Uprising, BELTA reports.

“It was with this event that Cuba's path to building a socially oriented state, which pursues an honest domestic and foreign policy, began,” the congratulatory message reads.

For Belarus, Cuba is one of the most important partners and friends in the Western Hemisphere, the President pointed out.

“I am convinced that we need not only to expand cooperation in the traditional sphere of trade, but also to reach cooperative forms of interaction. The establishment of joint ventures for the production of whole milk products, medicines, tractors will launch a qualitatively new stage in our economic relations,” the head of state emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez good health, inexhaustible energy and success in all his endeavors, and wished peace and prosperity to the brotherly Cuban people.
