President identifies development of domestic small arms production as important issue

The Head of State has identified the development of the national small arms production as an important issue.

Belarus, which has never threatened anyone with arms, must always be ready to defend itself. Guided by this simple logic, the President gave orders to develop and produce the country's own weapons.

The defence enterprises work, first and foremost, in the interests of national security. Besides, the complex makes a weighty contribution to the economy. We have quite a few of our own designs in the military-industrial complex. Traditionally, the highest-level technologies are used in this sphere. Today, the military-industrial sector organizations are working steadily, despite all the external circumstances.

Recently, the epidemic situation and the growing sanctions pressure have also had an impact. But judging by what the President said at the meeting with the head of the Military Industry Committee and the relevant deputy prime minister, all this is not critical. The head of state called the development of the national small arms production an important issue.
