President: Digitalization and collegial decision making of managers guarantee effectiveness of real sector of economy

The structure, functional features and work style of government, as well as issues of digitalization of the economy were discussed today by the President and First Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Turchin.

Alexander Lukashenko requires strict adherence to collegiality in decision making by the Council of Ministers, which will determine not only the development strategy of the country. The government should be engaged in the real sector of the economy, specialists should see and objectively evaluate the processes at various levels.

Another aspect of the conversation is the development of the IT sphere, digitalization of the economy and the country as a whole. Now there are a variety of proposals for further modernization of this high-tech sector, up to the creation of the Ministry of Digitalization. The task of the government is to clearly understand the achieved level of development and the next steps required by the Industry.

In the first quarter of 2019 a large-scale meeting on the development of the digital economy in the country will be held with participation of the President. A year and a half ago, the Head of State announced a policy of building an IT country. A revolutionary decree on the digital economy was adopted. Thanks to the document, the export of services in the High-Tech Park has exceeded a billion dollars for the first time. The number of residents has multiplied.
