Meeting of the Presidents of Belarus and Azerbaijan held in Palace of Independence

Minsk hosts a meeting of the leaders of Belarus and Azerbaijan. Ilham Aliyev is paying an official visit, to our country for the fifth time in the history of Belarusian-Azerbaijani relations. The Parties are interested in the development of partnership in all areas from transport and logistics to the IT-sphere.

Negotiations were preceded by a beautiful meeting ceremony according to the canons of the official protocol with the anthems of the two countries.

In January-September, the trade turnover between Belarus and Azerbaijan amounted to 331.5 million dollars. “Belarusian exports are based on machine-building and wood-processing products, food, and medicines. In Azerbaijan, there are more than 70 representative offices and distributors of Belarusian companies. Assembly production of tractors, MAZ and MZKT products has been established on the basis of the Ganja Automobile Plant. Since 2007, more than 10 thousand tractors of various modifications and special equipment, as well as more than three and a half thousand cars, buses and trailers have been assembled. A number of international documents are expected to be signed.
