President of Belarus completes his working visit to China

Alexander Lukashenko took part in the meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states. Within the framework of the summit, a number of bilateral meetings took place, including one with the Chinese President – Xi Jinping. When China is strong Belarus will be strong, too. This thesis of Alexander Lukashenko underscores the mutual interest in deepening cooperation between the two countries. The President also congratulated the Chinese party on the completion of the SCO presidency and noted that the summit had become a truly remarkable event.

As a result of the talks between the leaders of Belarus and China, the parties established a visa-free regime. In general, the package of agreements signed in Qingdao by the Belarusian side is estimated at 1.5 billion dollars. At the same time, Belarus' global proposals for expanding the areas of cooperation in Greater Eurasia were also highly appreciated. Among the Belarusian initiatives of the forum is the creation of the IT ecosystem of the organization, which will unite the possibilities of electronic media, social networks, and electronic commerce. Also, Alexander Lukashenko proposed using the opportunities of Belarus to strengthen the food security of the Eurasian region.
