Aryna Sabalenka becomes WTA Newcomer of the Year

Belarus’s best tennis player Aryna Sabalenka became the Newcomer of the Year according to the Women's Tennis Association.

The tremendous breakthrough from the end of the first hundred to the 15th place in the WTA ranking allows the first racket of Belarus to become a triumphant in this nomination.

In the past season the 20-year-old tennis player has already won two titles in the Premier tournaments in New Haven and Wuhan. The winners of the 2018 WTA awards were announced in Singapore.
