Belarusian athletes go to Olympics in Tokyo
Only a week is left before the moment when the attention of the fans of the whole world will be riveted to the start of the 32nd Summer Olympic Games! Athletes from different countries are already leaving for Tokyo, where a difficult test in anticlimactic conditions awaits them. At 21:00 another group of Belarusian athletes went to Tokyo.
The Belarusian swimmers are already in Japan. On July 16, a week before the start of the Games, the rowing team, the shooting team and the women's archery team of Belarus were escorted to the country of the "rising sun".
Belarusian women's archery team's silver medal performance during the Second European Games inspires optimism in the performance of the girls in Japan. And considering that this team made it into the eight strongest teams at the World Championships, we have a chance for medals if things go well there.
As for shooting, Belarus will be represented by the experienced Yuri Scherbatsevich, Maria, the daughter of Olympic champion Sergei Martynov, and Victoria Chaika, who has four World Championship awards.
It's very hot and humid in Tokyo these days, there's no so-called superadaptation, physical exercises and jogging are very hard. But the quality of water is good there and together with special salt-containing substances that are given to the athletes in a special bag allows them restoring water balance quickly enough. Of course, Japan approached the Olympics with great responsibility.
In addition, today the National Olympic Committee has launched an action to support our athletes in Tokyo, called "Together with the Team"! It's easy enough to become a participant - you need to publish the words of support to the Belarusian athletes in prose or poetry on your Instagram page. The best of them will receive exclusive Olympic souvenirs from Japan. Let’s cheer for Belarus together!
