Belarusian tennis players, swimmers and gymnasts leave for Olympics

Belarusian athletes, participants of the Olympics, continue to depart for the capital of the Summer Games. Today, our tennis players Aryna Sabalenka and Yegor Gerasimov, as well as representatives of swimming and gymnastics left on the way from Minsk to Istanbul and Tokyo. In addition, Ilya Ivashka flew from Barcelona to Tokyo. Due to the coronavirus restrictions, athletes can move into the Olympic village not earlier than 5 days before the start of their competitions. According to the athletes, despite the anticipation of the Olympic holiday, they are focused on the result. And some of them even had an early training session this morning.

The Olympic Games in Tokyo start on July 23, and the athletes will compete for the first sets of medals in road cycling and judo the next day.
