Belarusian basketball suspended from international competitions

The Executive Committee of the International Basketball Federation decided not to allow the Belarusian Basketball Federation to participate in competitions in the coming months. Apparently this decision, as well as many others, is politically motivated. The closest rivals of the Belarusians in the World Championship qualifying competition, the British, are openly rejoicing at such elimination of the Belarusians from the competition. Our federation responded with an official statement, expressing great disappointment. After all, tens of thousands of children and specialists are left without care. Rash sanctions simply demotivate them. The ban affects not only the Belarusian teams, but the Belarusians in other clubs as well.
This is direct discrimination on the right of birth, on the right to belong to the citizenship of their country, on the right to belong to their people! We know that it is the political hysteria and unconcealed anti-Belarusian and anti-Russian aggression on the part of some national federations that has brought this shameful decision to FIBA. Knowing all the initiators by sight, we cannot consider this decision as a dirty way to eliminate the rivals. It is rather unfortunate and, at the same time, not surprising that the decision against her teammates and against her country was supported by the fugitive former basketball player of the national team, Snytina. Meanwhile, let me remind you that, according to the Olympic Charter, "everyone within the Olympic Movement should observe political neutrality, and the exercise of rights and freedoms should be ensured without any form of discrimination." However, we see that all these immutable postulates are now trampled in the mud and torn to shreds by international sports officials.
