A. Lukashenko confreres general ranks on representatives of security forces and new NOC president

The head of state conferred the ranks of generals on representatives of the security forces and the new president of the NOC. The military rank of Major General was awarded to Vladimir Kupriyanyuk, Roman Podlinev, Nikolai Karpenkov, Dmitry Shakhrayev, Andrey Pavlyuchenko, the special rank of Major General of Police to Gennady Kazakevich. Viktor Lukashenko was awarded the military rank of Major General of the reserve. In connection with the transition to an elective position, he was relieved of his post as Assistant to the President for National Security.
