Lukashenko congratulates three-time Olympic champion Alexander Medved on his 85th birthday

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated three-time Olympic freestyle wrestling champion Alexander Medved on his 85th birthday, BelTA informs.

"You have given us unforgettable emotions with your bright, sparkling victories. As a coach, you have made a significant contribution to the development of freestyle wrestling. As a recognized legend of the sport and a well-known public figure you have represented Belarus decently at international venues," reads the congratulatory message.

The head of state pointed out that Alexander Medved, an outstanding athlete, a respected coach, and a true patriot, has every right to occupy the most honorable place among the great champions of Belarus, whom young people look up to.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Alexander Medved good health, optimism, and vigor.
