PCR test results of three Belarusian athletes turn out positive

Anastasia Kirillova and Anna Koroleva were supposed to start in sprint for women, while Alexander Voronov and Egor Shpuntov were supposed to sprint for men. However, the girls tested positive for coronavirus. This information was confirmed by the director of the Sports National Scientific and Practical Center Irina Malevanaya. She also spoke about the condition of skier Alexander Voronov. The athlete has tested positive for Covid and was isolated in a special hotel. He won't be able to take part in the Games. Egor Shpuntov is the only Belarusian who will take part in the sprint race on February 8. There are 11 medal events in the sport.
