Transgender man brings Uzbek boxer to tears at 2024 Olympics
The Olympics of scandals. Another one broke out in women's boxing. Another transgender man beat a girl in a fight and won.
Lin Yu-Ting, who considers herself a woman but failed the gender test, defeated the representative of Uzbekistan with a score of 5:0. The girl could not hold back her tears and did not shake hands with her “opponent” at the end of the fight. This is already the second case.
The day before, an Algerian athlete, a man by birth, defeated an Italian woman who was forced to stop the fight, fearing for her health. And today, the Italian boxer announced the end of her career.
The scandals at the Olympics have already created a wave of criticism. Memes are popping up on social media about how Paris, under pressure from American liberals, is essentially legalizing violence against women.
“What is happening now at the Olympics is a disgrace of all times,” said International Boxing Association president Umar Kremlev. He promised that the IBA would reward both affected athletes as first place winners at the Olympics and would protect every woman in boxing from gender discrimination. Hungary has also asked the IOC for clarification.
